Blogging is not hard. Sitting down with something to blog about is. To me. I'd like to say I will never go this long without blogging again, but I'd also like to say I'm not a liar. So there's that.
Much has happened in the last month. I spent a few days training/waiting tables - which was much harder than expected - then interviewed for a full time job that I will start on Monday! I am the newest addition to the Dean's office at the Oklahoma City University Law School. I'm doing administrative work and also being integrated into their communications department which means I'M USING MY DEGREE. Yes, that feels so so good.
I waited tables for a night before the OCU Law job came to be, and I guess that's sort of a funny story. After memorizing many cheeses at the OKC Melting Pot I began my on the job training. And I learned several things about myself.
1. I cannot balance large heavy trays in my hand while walking
2. My short term memory needs work (what did you have to drink again?)
3. I don't always tip enough (until now)
4. I have missed some of my friends that work at the OKC Melting Pot
Perhaps we all should have to serve others for a change and see what work it is. I also highly recommend the Melting Pot in Bricktown. Great people, great food, and exceptional service.
I will leave you with this tidbit of information and a picture (since I am a visual person).Today Joel and I played Rock Band at our friend Colin's house. After progressing from easy to hard on the bass while our band, Murder Train (I did not pick out the name), toured Dublin and Madrid, I have come to the realization that it is perhaps time to find a newer console than our often used Nintendo 64. For curious minds, my birthday is coming up in September.
Video games are bad for you? That's what they said about rock and roll.
